For an amazing pizza recipe, you need a nice and flavorful sauce and some rich toppings; that is why I want to show you how to make pizza sauce with fresh tomatoes and tomato paste. I combined fresh tomatoes and tomato paste to have a blend of redness from the tomato paste as well as reduce the thickness a little with the fresh tomatoes.
If you don’t like making the sauce with canned or sachet tomato paste, you can check out how to make tomato paste at home using fresh tomatoes; this ensures you use fresh tomatoes all through, the only downside is that you will need a large amount of the tomatoes, burn more gas or electricity, and spend more time. Well, it all depends on what you really need.
For any pizza sauce recipe, tomatoes make the base of the sauce; other ingredients such as herbs, spices, or some seasoning can be altered to your taste. In this recipe, I can’t do without onion powder and minced garlic; these two ingredients are amazing and make you eat the whole pizza without even thinking of the calories (haha).
