Peanut brittle is a type of crunchy caramelized sugar candy embedded with crushed peanuts, this is also called peanut candy hence it has many variations around the world. This peanut brittle is a very popular snack in the North specifically among the Hausas; however, you can also learn how to make this easy homemade peanut brittle for snacking or even make in large batches for sale.

This easy snack is a little bit addictive, you may want to eat it over and over hence it is very crunchy to be enjoyed as simple snack during movie time or while studying at night. I personally crunchy version of the peanut brittle, but if you prefer the soft version of peanut brittle you can achieve this by adding butter and baking soda to make yours.

Add in some spices if you love flavor; you can make this crunchy peanut brittle on both microwave (microwave peanut brittle) and stovetop. My best peanuts for peanut brittle are the fresh roasted peanuts this is because I love the nutty flavor of these nuts. Instead of using peanuts, you can also make use of cashews (cashew brittle), pepitas, sesame or almonds (almond brittle). Additionally, peanut brittle can be stored in a mason jar or any airtight container for 1 week or more. For sugar free peanut brittle, use honey or xylitol powder.
