  1. Pour your milk into a measuring jug or a bowl.
  2. Squeeze about 3 tablespoons of the lemon juice or white vinegar into the milk.
  3. Whisk the milk with a hand whisk for about 5 minutes until it start to thicken.
  4. Leave the mixture to rest at room temperature for about 15 minutes to curdle and become acidic.
  5. Pour into a container and store in the fridge for three days, then use it in place of buttermilk in any recipe, as it requires.
