Tips on how to clean a burnt pot/pan
- Step 1: Add water to the burnt pot to slightly cover the burnt residue, this works well for jollof rice pot and very stubborn stains.
- Step 2: Add some washing-up liquid just enough to make the water foam; this will help loosen the scorched food as it boils.
- Step 3: Place the pot on heat and leave it to boil for some minutes and then remove and leave to cool down completely. The burnt layers will loosen up easily, all you just need to do is to pull them out with your hand
- Step 4: Add scouring powder and washing up liquid to wash the pot as you normally do and you have your clean sparkling pot again.
